In the 'Dream Big Princess' campaign, the studio has selected 21 girls and women from 13 countries to make digital short films telling the stories of inspiring female role models.

Disney's chief creative officer Jennifer Lee, who won the Academy Award for her 2014 feature "Frozen", will be one of the talented women who will feature in the series. Lee said in a statement released by Disney said, "Using the journeys of characters like Anna, Elsa and Moana to inspire kids to dream big is at the very heart of what all of us at Disney do,

"The #DreamBigPrincess series is the perfect extension of that vision, providing a powerful platform for the next generation of aspiring filmmakers to create content about the women who have inspired them," she added.

The series of short films will be shared across Disney's global media platforms. For every like and share the projects get, a 1 dollar donation will be made toward the Girl Up by Disney. Girl Up is an initiative of the UN Foundation.

Each video is said to be shot on iPhone X and will be edited using Final Cut Pro X running on MacBook Pro. The aspiring filmmakers will also receive training from Apple technical experts, mentoring sessions with female-led production company Summerjax and creative inspiration from Disney storytelling veterans.

Disney will share the films from this project online starting from October 10 while the donations toward Girl Up will be recorded up until November 20.
