#Twinkle_Khanna, who wore a traditional sari for the #64thNationalFilmAwards where her husband and actor #Akshay_Kumar was bestowed the Best Actor honour, says friends must be more like saris.
"A sari is non-judgemental, accommodating and forgiving in nature. I wish we had more friends like that as well, Sari story," Twinkle, who looked elegant in the purple and pink ensemble and had her hair tied in a bun, tweeted on Thursday with a photograph.
The author and former actress was visibly emotional when Akshay received the honour from President Pranab Mukherjee in the capital's Vigyan Bhavan on Wednesday.
After the ceremony, she quipped: "So now I can officially refer to him as my trophy husband. National Film Awards."
