Actor #Shahid_Kapoor has started shooting for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming film #Padmavati.
The period drama, which also features Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, stars Shahid as Raja Ratan Singh.
Shahid on Thursday shared on Twitter a photograph of himself sporting a beard.
"Day 1. 'Padmavati' wish me luck guys," Shahid captioned the image.
Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who is enamoured of Padmavati.
