South Korea is looking to co-produce films with India, the country's ambassador to India Cho Hyun said on Monday.
Cho was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting between a South Korean delegation he is leading at the 47th International Film Festival of India and an Indian delegation of government officials and film-makers led by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu.
"We are impressed with India's film-making prowess. We are looking to co-produce films by bringing on board film-makers, both from India and South Korea," Cho said.
India and South Korea have already signed a memorandum of understanding for co-production and exchange of ideas.
Speaking on the occasion, Naidu said the central government was keen on working and co-operating with South Korea "in the domain of film production in a way that could benefit both countries".
