Superstar #AkshayKumar unveils the first look poster of #Kesari on the occasion of Saragrahi Day, along with the release date of the film.
Akshay Kumar shared the first look on his social media profile. He wrote, “On #SaragarhiDay, here’s the first look of #KESARI - our humble tribute to the martyrs of Saragarhi! Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari...Jo bahega mera woh lahu bhi Kesari... Aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari”
Kesari is an upcoming period war drama film. It stars Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles and directed by Anurag Singh. It tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi (in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897) while yearning for the respect of his estranged daughter.
The film is bankrolled by Dharma Productions, which also released the first look poster of Kesari on social media. It said, “On the occasion of #SaragarhiDay this year, याद रखो #Kesari का रंग और उसकी शान! @karanjohar @apoorvamehta18 @akshaykumar @ParineetiChopra @SinghAnurag79 @SunirKheterpal #CapeOfGoodFilms @iAmAzure @ZeeStudios_”
The film also stars Mir Sarwar, Ashwath Bhatt, Mohit Raina and many more. The film is currently slated to release on 21st March 2019.
Apart from Kesari, Akshay Kumar is also part of 2.0, which also stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson. The teaser for the film will be out tomorrow on 13th September.
