Talking about the film ban, Anubhav said, “I am surprised why my film is banned in Pakistan. I want the citizen of Pakistan to watch this film, and I want them to watch the film any which they can, and judge their government on the fact that they do not wish to be friends with us. They do not want that we (nations) talk about harmony and co-existence because their kitchen runs on this issue and people need to understand this. And I seriously want to know why this film is banned in Pakistan.”

“Because in my film, there is no language issue, no religious issue, it doesn’t talk badly about society, nothing wrong is said about Pakistan. The film is a criticism about individuals, and if you cannot tolerate it, then I don’t know, what to do?”

Pakistani government don’t want friendship between India-Pakistan: Anubhav Sinha

Anubhav Sinha was interacting with media at sub-urban multiplex which he visited to know audience reaction for his film ‘Mulk’ on Friday in Mumbai.

Talking about ‘Mulk’ being banned in Pakistan for its release, Sinha said, “I am surprised with the fact that why this film was banned in Pakistan and I want every citizen of Pakistan to watch this film any way possible. They should judge their government because they are not interested in friendship between India and Pakistan. They don’t want that we talk about brotherhood with each other because their kitchens run on this issue. These things common citizens needs to understand. This film has no problem with its language and we haven’t talked negative about any religion, community and Pakistan in it. We are criticizing people in it and if you have problem with that then I don’t have idea what to do. I am hoping that Mr. Imran Khan (Pakistan Prime Minister) will address this issue. Now my film is banned and I don’t think they can do anything for that but if they can reverse their decision than they should because this film should be watched by Hindus and Muslims because it talks about love”

Taapsee Pannu interacted with media at the trailer launch of his upcoming film Mulk with the cast and crew of the film on Monday.

Taapsee who has worked with a veteran actor like Amitabh Bachchan in 'Pink' and now with Rishi Kapoor in Mulk when talking about her prep for the role of a Lawyer said, "We had a lawyer with us all the time on set to help us and make sure to follow the norms and rules of playing a lawyer. The role was difficult because I was working with so many great actors at the same time. I don't get intimidated by a big star but by a great actor. We have actors like Ashutosh Rana, 'Chintu sir (Rishi Kapoor) in the film, I don't have to name them all we have seen them before.

It was very intimidating for me to stand between 5 live cameras and to act these scenes with such legendary actors. This is the most difficult setup or a character I have played yet because I have not worked with such brilliant multiple actors together in one frame and one go."

There have been many Lawyer in Hindi cinema who have left a powerful impact, like Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Sunny Deol, when asked which actor did she look for inspiration from, Taapsee said, " Ashutosh sir used to be right in front of him and I was very scared but I got to learn so much from him. I remember I had to say a very long dialogue in pure Hindi as a response to his point and I was very stressed before shooting that scene.
