Diljit Dosanjh Excited About Getting A Wax Statue At Madame Tussauds
After hitting a masterstroke with #Soorma, Punjabi Sensation #DiljitDosanjh is all set to be immortalized in #MadameTussaudsMuseum, becoming first actor and musician from Punjabi film fraternity to have his figure at Delhi center.
The official handle of Madame Tussauds confirmed the news on the social media platform. It said, “We are glad to announce that @diljitdosanjh would be the first actor/musician from the Punjabi film industry to have his figure at #TussaudsDelhi. It’s time for some Dhol and Bhangra at Madame Tussauds. #DiljitAtTussaudsDelhi”

Bollywood Filmmakers Praises Soorma
#ShaadAli directorial #Soorma stars #DiljitDosanjh, #TaapseePannu and #AngadBedi has hit the screens and is already receiving rave reviews.
Apart from the audience, the biographical sports drama has also impressed the B-Town filmmakers like Karan Johar, Subhash Ghai, and Milan Milap Zaveri.
The filmmakers have praised the film for its content and impressive performances by the cast on social media.
Veteran Filmmaker Subhash Ghai wrote, “It was pleasant surprise to watch #soorma such an emotional n inspiring film on super hockey player Sandeep Singh who fought with his destiny n God to achieve his goal with super performances n story Congratulations Entire team for this lovely film.”
Satyameva Jayate director Milap Zaveri wrote, “#Soorma tells a strong story about a comeback against all odds. @diljitdosanjh lives the role! He is brilliant! @Imangadbedi gives his best performance till date! @taapsee is super! Vijay Raaz is terrific! Congrats Shaad Ali @SnehaRajani @SonyPicsIndia Pranjal!”

Sachin Tendulkar praises Diljit Dosanjh starrer Soorma
#SachinTendulkar said #Soorma is a real story portrayed beautifully.
The cricket legend took to his twitter page to share his experience after watching the film on wednesday night.
Tendulkar tweeted, "A real story portrayed beautifully on reel. @flickersingh's determination to play for India is truly commendable, enjoyed watching #Soorma a lot."
He also gave his best wishes for the film's release, "My best wishes to the entire cast and crew. @imangadbedi @diljitdosanjh @taapsee"
Soorma tells the story of the international hockey player Sandeep Singh, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006. Under his captaincy, India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
Directed by Shaad Ali, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh as Sandeep Singh, Tapsee Pannu as Harpreet and Angad Bedi as Bikramjeet Singh.

Soorma is Close to my Heart Says Chitrangada Singh
“Soorma is close to my heart”, says actress turned producer #ChitrangadaSingh during a promotional event.
Actress Chitrangada Singh was spotted at 92.7 Big FM Office to promote the upcoming film Soorma.
Talking about the film, Chitrangada said, “Soorma is close to my heart, we had worked on this for a long time. Despite the rain, I am here and media is here, so thank you all. On this 13th July Soorma is releasing and with a lot of love and hard work, we have made this film. It took us almost two and a half year to complete this film.”
'Soorma' directed by Shaad Ali, stars #DiljitDosanjh as #SandeepSingh, #TapseePannu as Harpreet and Angad Bedi as Bikramjeet Singh.
Soorma is going to acknowledge a real life hero: Chitrangada Singh
#ChitrangadaSingh who is turning producer with the upcoming sports biopic #Soorma, said the film will acknowledge a real life hero.
Chitrangada was spotted at 92.7 Big FM office to promote the upcoming film on tuesday.
When talking about the film and its story she said, "The film is going to acknowledge a real life hero. Sandeep Singh is a real life hero. So far we have been looking up to fictional hero, whose stories were penned down by filmmakers. But he really has lived a dramatic life, he was shot that paralyzed him and he still stood up and became the caption of Indian hockey team. The story is very inspirational and hope everyone likes it."
When asked why she chose this story as her debut project she said it was the most dramatic story she had ever heard.
"When I heard the story I felt like I have never heard such a dramatic story in real life of someone who goes on to becoming the fastest drag flicker in the world. Sandeep's comeback in life is so strong that I don't think I could have come up with anything like that myself. When I chose this film I thought it is a very important story that needed to be told. I am very happy that as a producer my first film is 'Soorma'."
