Theron, who stars in an X-rated lesbian love scene in new movie "Atomic Blonde", says bisexual sex is not represented enough in films, reports femalefirst.co.uk. 

During an appearance on TV show "Watch What Happens Live", Theron was asked if she ever "took a dip in the lady pond?" 

She replied: "Ooh. When I was younger, yes. When you're young, you're exploring it all. But, it was pretty clear that I really like dudes."

The 41-year-old later said it was important for her "Atomic Blonde" character to be bisexual.

"I am ashamed that I'm part of an industry that has never allowed a woman to work with a budget higher than what the budget has been on ‘Wonder Woman.' That's so f***ing caveman-like," variety.com quoted Theron as saying. 

She added: "I am always hoping that this is the movie that's going to change it and keep it for us."

The film is being brought to India by PVR Pictures, read a statement.

"Atomic Blonde", directed by David Leitch, is based on the graphic novel "The Coldest City" by Antony Johnston and Sam Hart.

The film is set during the Cold War in Berlin, and showcases Theron in the role of an undercover MI6 agent who has to find a list of double agents who are being smuggled into the West.

Not only has the 41-year-old actress produced the film, but she has done all her action sequences herself.

"I asked David, ‘We're going to pretend that right?'. He was like, ‘No, you're actually going to throw big dudes.' So I was like -- Alright, let's throw some big dudes," Theron said.

"(I work out) three to four times a week," Theron told Red magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

However, she doesn't find exercising a "chore" because she has found disciplines she enjoys.

She said: "I've always believed if you find something you love, exercise won't be a chore. If you do exercise you enjoy you're keeping yourself fit without even realising it."

The "Mad max: Fury Road" star will prefer working out if it can be practiced outside, because she has claimed she is an "outdoorsy" person.
