Yolanda Hadid penning book about Lyme disease

Reality TV personality Yolanda Hadid, mother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, is writing a book about her battle with Lyme disease. It will be released next year.

The 52-year-old's book, which is titled "Believe Me: My Battle With the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease", details her life since her 2012 diagnosis. It will be out in February 2017, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"While doctors continued to dismiss her pain and friends debated about her health diagnosis, Yolanda realised her mission and higher purpose of her journey is to use her newfound platform to educate, and bring awareness to the stigma surrounding chronic Lyme in order to bring hope to other sufferers who have been misdiagnosed and battling the invisible disability of chronic disease in general," Yolanda's publishers St. Martin's Press said in a statement.
Yolanda's children Bella and Anwar have also been diagnosed with the disease and the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star previously claimed her diagnosis changed the "dynamic" of her relationship with husband David Foster -- who she split from in December.

"We had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever. Unfortunately, it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way," she said.

"Chronic, long-term illness is extremely challenging. Not only for the person sick but also for the care giver. It for sure changed the dynamic of the relationship," Yolanda added.
