She has recently lent her voice for the gujarati adaptation of ‘Natsamrat’ which is directed by Jayant Gilatar and is a Jhamu Sughand presentation produced under the banner of Sughand films and is also produced by Ravindra Tendulkar. She will be seen singing a gujarati song called ‘Jat- Jao’ in the gujarati Natsamrat along with Alap Desai and lyrics are written by Dilip Rawal. The song has already become famous amongst the gujarati crowd. The fans would also get a double delight as at the voice of Shreya Ghoshal well-known actors Dipika Chikalia and Siddharth Rangeria would be seen on screen enjoying in the Rann of Kutch in traditional gujarati costumes.

“The movie that the viewers would see is completely different. My movie is not a remake it is an adaptation so there are many scenes and instances that were not a part of the Marathi movie.”

When asked what difference the viewers would get to see in the gujarati adaptation he said, “In the Marathi version of the film we just got to see the him suffering but in my movie the viewers would get to see how Harindra Pathak (Siddharth Randeria) is taking his wife Mangala Pathak (Dipika Chikalia) on a vacation and also how Harindra also worked as a labourer.”

He also urges the audience to watch the movie and then come to a decision, “It is a family oriented movie and one should go along with their families to watch the movie and they would automatically realize the difference between both the films.”

Tasneem will be seen playing the character of Sidharth Randeria daughter-in-law Jigna Pathak who is an educated and very broad-minded girl and would not shy away from voicing her opinions and taking her own stand against her father-in-law.

“I was like a child who knew the basic because of my work experience in the industry but it was Jayant bhai who guided me throughout the movie and what to do and how to do. It was him who gave me the confidence that I would be able to play this role and the entire credit of my character goes to Jayant bhai, more than me it was him who had the confidence in me that I would be able to play the role of Jigna and would receive appreciation for my role as well.”

“I am very proud to be a part of such a landmark film and have even gotten the opportunity to work with actors like Dipika ji, Siddharth ji, Jayant bhai and the rest of the team of the movie.”

The Movie is Directed by Jayant Gilatar ,whose last directorial "Chalk N Duster" was one of most critically appreciated of the year, starring Juhi Chawla ,Shabana Azmi Richa Chadda and may more popular actors of Bollywood.

Post Ramayan, Deepika was seen in popular shows like Sword of Tipu Sultan and Vikram aur Betaal. Deepika took a sabbatical after she got married to Gujarati businessman Hemant Topiwala, who is the owner of a cosmetic company.
