Filmmaker #AnubhavSinha never shied away from speaking his mind, whether through films or social media.
The Mulk director took to his social media profile and belted out 4 part tweet, slamming people and media houses stating that the circus around Tanushree Dutta’s allegations will make it tougher for women to speak up.
Director Anubhav Sinha took to his social media profile and wrote, “The Circus around Tanushree allegations will make sure women find it even tougher to speak up. What are you guys looking for? The truth? Justice? or just more juicy stories?”
Further adding, he wrote, “Go, dig deeper, investigate, find the truth instead of demanding bollywood celebrities for their tweets and opinions. In a few days you will move on to a bigger story. If you can help her find justice my friends THAT will empower them”
And finally addressing the real issue, the filmmaker wrote, “Pl stop bullshitting about SHW in Bollywood. Chief Ministers, Sports Officials, Senior Cops, Bureaucrats, Industrialists et al Please go thru some old news papers. Our society at large has never shied from exploiting women. If you think it is only Bollywood you are underinformed”
Tanushree Datta recently opened a bag of controversies by accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment.
In a recent TV interview, Dutta had said Patekar misbehaved with her on the sets of “Horn Ok Pleassss” 10 years ago. The actor also alleged that Patekar had the tacit support of the film’s makers.
In a lengthy Twitter post, journalist Janice Sequeira narrated her account of the incident, provoking many from the Hindi film industry to react to Tanushree’s allegations.
