Have done well without any guidance, says Neha Sharma
Actress #Neha_Sharma admits the work she has done in Bollywood may not be "path-breaking", but says she has picked the best from what she got. In that sense, she feels she has done well in her career without having any guidance.
Neha ventured into Bollywood in 2010 with the film "Crook: It's Good To Be Bad". She then featured in films like "Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum", "Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story", "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2", "Youngistaan", "Kriti" and "Tum Bin 2", and she has a special appearance in "Mubarakan".
Asked if it's a conscious decision to not be a part of too many films, Neha told: "Yes. The reason I am in cinema is because of the passion I have for cinema.... So, for me to convince myself to do anything and everything becomes impossible.
"I'm not trying to say that the work I have done in the past is path-breaking, but I have definitely tried to pick the best from what I was offered and being an outsider with no one to guide me I think I have done well."

I console myself with a career that lasts: Twinkle Khanna
She started off as an actress, became an entrepreneur and she is now creating waves with her books and column. #Twinkle_Khanna, famous on social media as #Mrs_Funnybones, doesnt regret that she couldn't score a success story in films.
Asked if she finds it ironic that she didn't receive as much praise for acting as opposed to her writing career, Twinkle told over phone from Mumbai: "Maybe I am better at writing. So I console myself with the fact that I have a career that lasts me a lifetime."
Twinkle, the daughter of veteran actress Dimple Kapadia and the late superstar Rajesh Khanna, featured in films like "Barsaat", "Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai", "Mela", "Baadshah" and "Joru Ka Ghulam". But failed to make a mark.
She then became an entrepreneur, exploring her interest in interior designing. Her writing skills came to be known via her column in a daily, and eventually she turned an author. She calls her professional journey gratifying.

Idris Elba wants to do action-packed films
Actor #Idris_Elba wants to star in an action-led fighting films like "Rocky" after doing a year's training to become a professional K1 kickboxer for the documentary #Fighter.
"My agent has been fielding boxing scripts left, right and centre. They're not imaginative enough, though. Maybe one day I'll do a fight film but what would be the story? Comeback king of the year? I don't know," Elba told Metro newspaper.
"I feel like I have more of a foundation in the art of fighting now for roles that require action-led fighting," he added, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Elba admits his kickboxer training was "one of the toughest things" he has done but branded being a father of two to daughter Isan, 12 and son Winston, 2.

President watches Rahul Bose's 'Poorna'
Actor #Rahul_Bose hosted a special screening of his upcoming film #Poorna for President #Pranab_Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhavan here ahead of its commercial release.
"Poorna" is a biopic on Poorna Malavath, who at the age of 13, became the youngest girl to climb Mount Everest. A tribal girl, she fought social stigmas and achieved her dreams with true grit, determination and a never-give-up attitude.
President Mukherjee, who saw the film on March 25, was moved by the biopic, which spreads awareness about Poorna's journey, encourages women's empowerment and is an inspiration to women from every part of the country to dream big and accomplish their goals, read a statement issued on behalf of the movie's makers.

'Gulaabi 2.0' in 'Noor' needed carefree attitude: Tulsi Kumar
Singer #Tulsi_Kumar, who has crooned numbers like "Saiyaan superstar", "Mere humsafar" and "Soch na sake", says her new song "Gulaabi 2.0" in the forthcoming Sonakshi Sinha-starrer #Noor required a carefree attitude.
"I was literally dancing and enjoying while recording this track in the studio. Being a mix of trap and hip-hop, the new age song required a carefree, 'bindass' attitude in rendition, that made me relish one of the best times of my life. I have tried my best to do justice to the vivacious spirit of the song and I hope that the listeners love this too," Tulsi said in a statement.
"Gulaabi 2.0" is an EDM version of late music legends R.D. Burman and Mohammed Rafi's "Gulaabi aankhen".
The song has been composed by Amaal Malik, and sung by Tulsi and Yash Narvekar.
Based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz's novel "Karachi, You're Killing Me!", "Noor" also features Purab Kohli and Sunny Leone with comedian Kanan Gill debuting in the film industry.

Akshay enjoys 'Naam Shabana' with policewomen
Actor #Akshay_Kumar attended the screening of the forthcoming film #Naam_Shabana with women police officers here, and enjoyed the experience.
Akshay on Mondy morning said that he enjoyed the first screening of the the film, which is the second installment of the 2015 film "Baby". The actor also shares a photograph of himself along with actress Taapsee Pannu in a theatre full of female police officers in uniform.
"Enjoyed my first screening of 'Naam Shabana' with these brave female police officers of Delhi last night. Nothing but respect," Akshay captioned the image on Tuesday morning.
Taapsee's character in "Baby" is what has resulted in its spin-off "Naam Shabana", produced by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Shivam Nair.

Digital medium is even stronger than films: Baba Sehgal
Singer-actor #Baba_Sehgal, who created a sensation with his rap songs in the 1990s, is back with the genre for a digital campaign and feels that the medium has a greater power than films for making someone a star.
"Films are different media altogether and earlier it was film and Television and now digital media. Infact I feel it's much stronger than films as movies depends on digital campaign for marketing and everything and promotions so I think digital media is much bigger. Anybody can be star if the Content is good.
"There is scope for every young actor who wants to be anyone. I think if you are good surfer of net, you can do wonders in your life," Sehgal told on the phone from Mumbai.
The rapper has associated with fast-food chain KFC has created a Chilli Chizza Rap in his style. The video was launched on Tuesday, here.

No baby right now, says Bipasha Basu
Actress #Bipasha_Basu has denied all rumours about being pregnant and says curiosity about it is a "tad annoying".
There were reports stating that Bipasha, who tied the knot with actor Karan Singh Grover last April, is expecting her first child.
Taking to Twitter, the 38-year-old actress shot down rumours and said that whenever it happens she would share it with her fans and followers.
"The curiosity about me being pregnant...is sweet and a tad annoying. I am sorry to disappoint the people who are so eager for this to happen," Bipasha tweeted on Tuesday morning.
"We are not planning to have a baby right now.When we do plan..it will be joyous news which we will share with our well wishers then," she added.
The actress, who was last seen on screen in the 2015 horror film "Alone" starring alongside Karan, said the she is a straight forward person.
"The constant guessing game is tiring..as am more than straightforward person.So please do not believe anything that gets written. Thank you all," she added.

Kate Hudson kisses new beau for 10 minutes in public
Actress #Kate_Hudson confirmed her romance with guitarist #Danny_Fujikawa after they were spotted kissing each other here.
According to a source, the couple's lip-lock session lasted 10 minutes as they were spotted hanging out together, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The source further shared that Fujikawa whispered "sweet nothings" into Hudson's ear as the pair enjoyed their extended embrace on the streets.
Earlier in the day, the couple were seen shopping together.
Hudson has two sons from her previous relationships.
She was married to The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson for six years. They were separated in August 2006. Later on, Hudson was engaged to Muse frontman Matt Bellamy. They got separated in December 2014.

Brooklyn Beckham to peruse fashion photography
Former football star #David_Beckham's son #Brooklyn is heading to university to study photography as he wants to become a fashion photographer.
Brooklyn is off to study for a degree in photography, according to The Sun.
A source told the newspaper: "Brooklyn is already pretty independent so he has few qualms about living away from his family," reports mirror.co.uk.
"He's obviously going to miss them all but he's ready for his next adventure. If he wants to achieve his dream job full time, having the extra learning behind him will be such an asset," the source added.
The 18-year-old always wanted to pursue his passion of photography for a long time.
He has also been working hard on a book, that's due to be released on June 29, after he completes his A-level exams.

3 fashion students get direct entry to India Runway Week
Three fashion students from the National Capital Region have won direct entries to the upcoming #India_Runway_Week.
The three winners of the DsyN BlooM contest organised by Vaatsaalyaa Charitable Trust for Education -- Yashfa from Design Zone, Simran from the International Polytechnic for Women and Himanshi Koli from JankiDevi Vocational Centre -- will showcase their designs at "Asia's youngest fashion trade event" scheduled to be held here next month.
They were picked by a jury comprising fashion photographer Rohit Suri, FDCI member and Designer Sonia Jetley, Designers Niket Mishra, Manish Tripathi, Rohini Gugnani, and Megha & Jigar.
Vaatsaalyaa organised the contest to unearth hidden talent at different fashion institutes and provide them a global stage.

Taapsee Pannu encourages women to learn self-defence
Actress #Taapsee_Pannu, known for playing powerful characters in films like "Baby", "Pink" and in her forthcoming #Naam_Shabana, says women should take responsibility for their own safety and learn the act of self-defence.
The actress also features in Culture Machine's latest video in the Unblushed series on Blush channel titled "Unblushed Taapsee| #HitBack", where she talks about how it is important for girls to be unapologetic about how they dress up and the lifestyle they lead.
"It's time for us to be responsible for our own safety and learn to protect ourselves. The video resonates with me and I am glad to be a part of something so powerful, something I hope every woman will understand and act upon," Tapsee said in a statement.
She also believes that women possess great power in form of strength and vulnerability.

Sooraj Pancholi to start shooting love story
After making a debut with "Hero", actor #Sooraj_Pancholi is now set to start shooting for a new film, which is a love story.
"I am starting a film now. In 20 to 25 days probably, I will start shooting for the film. It is a love story... An action love story. That is all I am allowed to say right now," Sooraj said on the sidelines of Society Leadership Awards 2017 here on Sunday.
The film will be helmed by "ABCD 2" director-choreographer Remo D'Souza. The project has been termed as a dance-action film about two brothers. The movie features Ajay Devgn too.
Remo had earlier confirmed that the actors would train in Germany for the action sequences, and would also train for dance. However, the leading lady of the film hasn't been confirmed.

Girls should hit back if touched inappropriately, says Akshay Kumar
Actor #Akshay_Kumar, who is trained in martial arts, says girls should not panic if touched inappropriately. They should instead hit back.
Akshay, along with the team of his forthcoming film "Naam Shabana" -- co-actors Manoj Bajpayee and Taapsee Pannu and producer Neeraj Pandey -- visited the Gargi College for women here on Monday morning.
Here, Akshay spoke extensively on the importance of women knowing self-defence techniques.
"In our country, I believe, girls should not learn martial arts or self-defence because I feel they should be free to walk anywhere, anytime, anyplace. But unfortunately, because of some dirty people they have to learn self-defence," Akshay said.
"I am running a school in Mumbai and I want to open one school here (in Delhi) but I don't know when it will happen. I just want to tell you one thing -- if a guy touches you, then don't panic, in fact, hit him back and run," he added.

Melissa McCarthy bad at remembering dates
Actress #Melissa_McCarthy, who is married to actor Ben Falcone, says she is bad at remembering dates and years -- even if it is to do with her marriage.
McCarthy opened up about her marriage on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".
When host DeGeneres asked them for how long they have been together, McCarthy said: "11 years married. Right?"
She added: "11 years married, and I would say 18, 19."
Falcone said: "I think we met 19 years ago. I think we've been together 16?"
To that, McCarthy replied: "I think it's more than that but, I think it's 18."
The host then joked that it would be great help if they can tell an accurate date.
