Sonali Bendre took to her social media profile and shared a picture of her family performing the Ganesh Puja and expressed that she is missing being there with her family during the festival as it is one very close to her heart but nonetheless, she feels blessed.

Her post read, "Ganesh Chaturthi has always been very, very close to my heart. Missing the celebrations back home, but still feeling blessed. Have a happy one, filled with blessings, love, and joy."

Actress Sonali Bendre is under treatment for Cancer. Due to chemo and other radiation treatment, the actress has lost her hair but thanks to Priyanka Chopra, now the actress has a new look and she shared a video on her social media account.

She wrote, “Vanity is my favourite sin - Al Pacino...Well, it might not be my all-time favourite sin (that would be gluttony), but who doesn't like looking good? The way we look has a profound psychological impact on us... A little vanity here and there does no one any harm. It's important to do what makes you happy, even if it's something as simple as wearing a wig, bright red lipstick, high heels.”

Just like the entire world, ailing Sonali Bendre also celebrated Friendship Day with her friends in NYC. She shared a candid post on her social media profile and also confirmed that superstar Hrithik Roshan took the picture.

On Sunday, Sonali shared a sneak peek of her Friendship Day celebrations with a new Instagram post. She wrote, “This is me. And in this moment, I am really happy. People give me strange looks when I say that now, but it's true and I'll tell you why. I am now paying attention to every moment, looking for every opportunity to find joy and #SwitchOnTheSunshine. Yes, there are moments of pain and low energy, but I am doing what I like, spending time with people I love, and feeling very loved and happy.”

The actress and author shared a image with her son, Ranveer and the note that read, "From the moment he was born 12 years, 11 months and 8 days ago, my amazing @rockbehl took ownership of my heart. From then on, his happiness and wellbeing have been the centre of anything @goldiebehl and I ever did. And so, When the Big C reared its ugly head, out biggest dilemma was what and how we were going to tell him."

The actress said she is glad that they decided to talk to him and not keep him in dark, " As much as we wanted to protect him, we knew it was important to tell him the full facts. We’ve always been open and honest with him and this time it wasn’t going to be different. He took the news so maturely… and instantly became a source of strength and positivity for me. In some situations now, he even reverses roles and takes on being the parent, reminding me of things I need to do!”

Ranveer has become he strength in time of need and they have been spending time together, "I believe that it’s imperative to keep kids involved in a situation like this. They are a lot more resilient than we give them credit for. It’s important to spend time with them and include them, rather than make them wait on the side-lines, not being told yet instinctively knowing everything. In our effort to protect them from the pain and realities of life, we might end up doing the opposite.

Recently, Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre revealed that she is suffering from high-grade cancer. A lot of wishes poured for the actors from the celebs and her have been praying for her to get well soon.

And now the actor Sonali thanked everyone for the encouraging stories and well wishes. She wrote, “In the words of my favourite author Isabel Allende, “We don't even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. In times of tragedy, of war, of necessity, people do amazing things. The human capacity for survival and renewal is awesome.”

“The outpouring of love I’ve received in the last few days has been so overwhelming… and I’m especially grateful to those of you who shared stories of your experiences in dealing with cancer, whether it was your own or of loved ones. Your stories have given me an extra dosage of strength and courage, and more importantly, the knowledge that I’m not alone.”

Sonali Bendre shared a heartfelt message, revealing that she has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer and been getting treatment in New York. The entire Bollywood rallied behind the actress in support and best wishes.

Actor Vivek Oberoi wrote, “You are one of the strongest women I know! I admire &respect how u always stood ur ground in the face of adversity...and won! A Wonder Woman who does it all-actor, author, mom, wife! An inspiration 2so many! Cancer will surely lose this fight! Our Love & Prayers are with u always!”

Actor Riteish Deshmukh also expressed his sadness and offered best wishes to actress Sonali and her filmmaker husband Goldie Behl. He wrote, “Deeply saddened & shaken by this news. Praying for your speedy recovery & good health @iamsonalibendre. @GOLDIEBEHL sending all the positivity & best wishes”

Sonali Bendre Behl just issues a statement confirming the news about her cancer, treatment and also that she is hopeful about the course of treatment.

She wrote, “Sometimes, when you least expect it, life throws a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with a high-grade cancer that has been metastised, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them.”
