The Fearless and Fabulous Deepika Padukone is sporting a quirky outfit. With a headgear and blue top along with black trousers, she looks like a diva with an impeccable style and persona.

This is the first cover of Deepika Padukone after her wedding with Ranveer Singh, which was a grand affair. The couple tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy, after dating for almost six years.

The couple hosted two different receptions for friends, family and fraternity. The Mumbai reception saw Deepika and Ranveer sporting colour-coordinate outfit after twinning through the entire wedding.

Husband Ranveer Singh is back to work with Simmba, which saw its trailer release recently. And the bride, Deepika is off to holidays and soon will kick-start the shoot for the new venture.

Actress Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal in a Meghna Gulzar directorial. In addition to playing the titular role, the actress has also decided to turn producer with the film.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on social media. He tweeted, “IT'S OFFICIAL... After #Padmaavat, Deepika Padukone teams up with #Raazi director Meghna Gulzar... Deepika will portray the part of an acid attack survivor in the film”

The yet-untitled film will be based on the life of Laxmi, who was attacked at the age of 15 in 2005. Her assailant was a family acquaintance who bore a one-sided attraction towards her, which turned into a mortal grudge when the girl refused to accept the man's advances.

Laxmi took up the job of helping acid attack survivors and promoted campaigns to stop acid attacks. She even received the US State Department’s International Women of Courage Award in 2014 from the former First Lady of United States, Michelle Obama.

Karan Johar just took to his twitter handle and shared a new poster of the show along with names of celebrity guest to grace the opening episode. He wrote, “The first cup of koffee is all about #girlpower!! Welcome @deepikapadukone and @aliaa08 on episode 1 season 6 of #koffeewithkaran on @StarWorldIndia @hotstartweets”

Actress Alia Bhatt is known for her quirky replies on talk shows and Deepika Padukone is a regular on the show. It is perfect balance of poise and fun on the first episode as Alia is currently in a relationship with Deepika’s ex, Ranbir Kapoor.

On the work front, Shahid has Batti Gul Meter Chalu and the Hindi remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy.

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is an upcoming social drama directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar Nishant Pitti. The film also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in the lead roles.

The year 2018 has been extremely lucky for Deepika Padukone as she has been honored for her achievements one after the other.

Deepika's film Padmaavat became the first woman-led film to cross 300 crores at the box office, later Deepika featured in the prestigious TIME 100 Influential People of 2018 List and also in Variety’s International Women’s Impact Report 2018. Now the actress is all set to have her wax statue at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.

"Honoured to be a new Academy member. Class of 2017," Deepika tweeted on Wednesday.

Deepika made her debut in Hollywood with "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" earlier this year.

Last month, the Academy invited a record 744 members from 57 countries to its governing body, surpassing the 683 invitations issued in 2016.

Indian actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Priyanka Chopra were also mentioned in the list.

Deepika looked elegant and sophisticated as she made her way to the red carpet as ambassador of global cosmetic giant L'Oreal Paris on Day 2 of the gala on Thursday.

She turned up the glam quotient in a Brandon Maxwell gown, teamed with diamonds by De Grisogono, Chloe Gosselin shoes, and her hair in a high updo.

Apart from the slit and Deepika's svelte frame, the attention was grabbed by her smoky eyes.

The look was much different from her loose-tressed look in a jewel toned maroon gown on the opening day of the gala, where she shared the frame with names like Susan Sarandon, Julianne Moore, and Elle Fanning.

Earlier in the day at the French Riviera, Deepika spent some time gorging on a croissant, painting her nails and browsing through her wardrobe. 

She was seen in a sunshine yellow figure-hugging dress and later, she even spent time with Fanning at the beach in a pink dress.

She walked before the screening of French director Arnaud Desplechin's "Les Fantomes d'Ismael".

Deepika, one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood currently, is representing global cosmetic giant L'Oreal Paris at the film jamboree for the first time. She also mingled with the brand's co-ambassadors Julianne Moore, Susan Sarandon and Elle Fanning before leaving for the red carpet.

With her tresses left open, she looked exquisite as she exuded confidence and elan in her one-shoulder floor-sweeping dress. The intricate embroidery lent a traditional touch to the ensemble, while the layering in tulle gave her a sensual look.
